FAQ

A Doula is a person who is not a health care professional but is trained specifically in one and or multiple of the following: labor & birth, postpartum, chest feeding, death, prenatal support. A Doula provides emotional, physical and informational support.

A Labor & Birth Doula should be considered because we can help to cut back on time spent labouring, to reduce anxiety, lower the rate of medical interventions, including Cesareans, and improve the birthing person-baby bonding post-birth.

A Postpartum Doula should be considered because we can ease stresses and facilitate recovery from birth. We can aid in adjustment to parenthood, ensuring parents needs are met. As a Postpartum Doula, we are also trained to recognize early signs of Postpartum issues and give you resources as needed.
